Happy Thanksgiving!

I flew home this weekend to spend Canadian Thanksgiving with my family. I arrived late Friday night (thanks Jodie for getting me to the airport!). Saturday, we got up early, had coffees and headed out to Galloways, - a specialty market in New West. This is where we get some of the most important ingredients for my Nana's Christmas Pudding and fruit cakes. That night we just enjoyed each other's company and snacked on homemade chocolate chip cookies.

We started Sunday with coffees - of course...and then decided to take on a major project - apple'n! A few days ago, Dad had picked about 150 apples off of one of our apple trees. Sunday turned into an apple peeling, apple cutting, apple cooking, and apple eating day!

Sunday afternoon we headed over to my Uncle and Aunt's to have a delicious turkey dinner. The food was excellent, and my cousin Carolyn made some great apple pies for dessert! The weekend flew by so quickly, I can hardly believe I'm already home.
