Last weekend, I flew home to spend Thanksgiving with the family. Dan couldn't make it up with me because he was in New York spending time with family and opening the show Good Bobby. (We all missed him though...especially on Sunday...Football) The weather was absolutely unreal; a little crisp, but completely clear of rain! Soph, Mom, and Dad, picked me up from the airport Friday night with Pumpkin Spice Lattes in hand (They know me so well!). I was so happy to see them, and to have Soph there too, was a real surprise! Saturday morning, we headed over to Galloway's to pick up some of the ingredients for Nana's Christmas pudding. We couldn't seem to get the Australian raisins, but a woman there gave us a good idea for replicating their texture.
Doesn't the "Big Tree" look gorgeous here? There were leaves all over the backyard and driveway!
Remember last Christmas, when it snowed like crazy and we had to keep shoveling and reshoveling the driveway? One of the highlights of the trip, was playing around with Mom, Dad, and Don's new tractor. I was a little nervous driving it around the driveway, but Dad kept it at tortoise speed for me.
On Saturday night, we had turkey with Grandma and Grandpa. Mom did an excellent job and had a beautiful pumpkin center piece. Monday night, we headed over to Papa's for a few games of pool then went over to Aunty Doris's for an amazing dinner! It was wonderful catching up with everyone and hearing updates from Christina and Carolyn.
Already looking forward to the next visit home!
